GAY Mosque To Open In Paris

Ludovic Mohammed Zahed is braced for controversy, maybe even worse. A gay Muslim and an expert on the Koran, Zahed plans to open Europe's first gay-friendly mosque in Paris at the end of this month. He calls it a place of shelter as well as a place of worship.

"We need to have a safe space for people who do not feel comfortable and at ease in normal mosques," Zahed told ABC News. "There are transgender people who fear aggression, women who do not want to wear head scarf or sit in the back of the mosque. This project gives hope back to many believers in my community."

"Common prayer, practised in an egalitarian setting and without any form of gender-based discrimination, is one of the pillars supporting the proposed reforms of our progressive representation of Islam," he said.

"The Unity" mosque will initially operate in a Buddhist temple in a neighborhood in eastern Paris, and will emphasize "accepting everyone as equally God's creation....I hope straight men will pray together with gay men and women, everyone," said Zahed who declines to make public the address of the venue, due to security concerns.

Zahed's mosque will honor some Islamic traditions, like Friday prayers (Jumu'ah), and the Muslim marriage contract (Nikah) to bless same-sex marriage. It will also perform funeral rites (Janazah) for those who have been denied a traditional Islamic funeral based on Sharia law because of their sexual orientation.

"It is a safe place to worship," said Zahed, where no religious questions will go unaddressed. "Our imams will talk on any taboo topic." Zahed will be one of three prayer leaders, along with a female French convert to Islam and another man who is being trained.

"Current Islamic ethics may condemn this sexual orientation," Zahed said, "but in fact nothing in Islam or the Koran forbids homosexuality.
Indeed, for centuries, Muslims did not consider homosexuality to be the supreme abomination that they do today."

Prof Pat Utomi Responds To Sanusi Call For Workers Sack

The CBN governor, Professor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has come under fire from various critics following the governor's  call for government to sack workers. Professor Pat Utomi is the latest to make a comment on this issue.

"Here is a man under whom the CBN has spent hundreds of billions and who donates hundreds of millions of the CBN funds to causes he favours now calling for the sack of workers who earn 18 thousand Naira because he wants to save funds.
Physician heal thyself!" - Prof Pat Utomi.

You would recall that the NLC had earlier labelled the CBN governor a devil's incarnate while the CPC was straight on the governor's defense, insisting that the PDP-led government is mountain of failure and should naturally carry the blame of a retrogressive Nigeria.

What to Expect From God of War - The Movie

For some reasons, God of War has become one of the most popular games available only on the PlayStation console, it's massive impression in the gaming world has turned attention of Hollywood to her camp. I remember the last time they were talks on the movie but later it was matched with a sad news of budget and financing. Hope and anticipation is back as screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton talks about the movie.

Incase you are wondering who the pair are, Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton wrote the last four Saw films as well as this summer’s Piranha 3DD, they are currently preparing for the premiere of The Collection, the sequel to their cult 2009 horror film, The Collector.

God of War Movie
Rob Frappier of screenrant had an interview with the duo, this is what they had to say;

Dunstan: “It’s bad ass. It’s been so fun. Working with that team, they have been just so supportive. They want to get this movie to the screen, so we have been doing our part and we’re very much in the trenches right now delivering page after page after page to make that a reality.”
Dunstan giving an insight on their journey to the making of God of War.  Rob Frappier was also informed that the film would be different from other hack and slash films like Clash of the Titans and The Immortals, perhaps with the clear indication that God of War movie would stand tall above any competitor.

Most times, films re-engineered for gaming experience flops and vice-versa, I hope God of War  movie isn't going to be next flop game-movie to join the list.

Police Detained 7-Months Old Baby for 7-Days

While crimes of great magnitude are being committed in broad day light, the police decided to turn their attention to unlawfully arresting and detaining a 7-months old child for 7-days. The boy, Uchenna Nwoye, his parents and two other persons were arrested and detained by the Police in Onitsha over N20,000 debt owned by the parents.

23-years old Mrs. Ukamaka Nwoye and mother of the detained child had this to say:

"on November 7, at about 2:30am, wewere all asleep when suddenly some policemen came into our compound, broke our door and forced their way into our house and arrested us, including my 7 MONTHS OLD BABY. They took us to their bus and whisked us away to a place we later discovered to be Fegge Police station, Onitsha.

"They denied us the opportunity to call any of our relations. It was one of the Policemen who saw how my child was almost suffocating inside the cell that secretly helped me to call one of my brothers and told him where we were being detained. We spent seven days in detention."

I wonder when all these bizzare  things would come to an end.

Aluu 4 Nightmare Returns as Guard is Burnt Alive in Warri

Apparently, Jungle Justice has come to stay in  Nigeria, otherwise this unholy gruesome  murder of this Nigerian won't have taken place. Major thanks to the law enforcement agencies who have failed to prosecute the perpetrators of similar act in Aluu community where 4-boys were brutally  murdered.

According to ogusbaba, a night guard in Delta state was burnt and slaughtered by angry mob reason being that the victim shut-dead his brother accidentally.

Exact details of the deceased is sketchy but I think this is really pathetic and bizzare, the National Orientation Agency and other relevant agencies have a lot to do in educating the people on Jungle Justice. 52-years down the road, this a true reflection of a retrogressive nation on social and moral fronts

Aluu 4: Lloyd Michael Finds Rest in Port Harcourt

I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I'm a human being, first and foremost, and as such I'm for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.

Aluu 4: Lloyd Michael Finds Rest in Port Harcourt
No justice, no peace, this should be at the back of the mind of the Nigreria security operatives. It is not enough to arrest  people without presecution. Should this be swept under the carpet like many other cases of injustice, questions must then be asked about the future of this nation. Aluu 4 was a disaster of monumental proportion, all I ask is for justice to prevail

Lloyd has finally found rest in Port Harcourt. Llyod and his friends were brutally murdered by a mob in Aluu community while indigences watched in high definition the cruelty and barbaric nature of man's inhumanity to man.

This was the speech at the grave side:

“Today, the reality is out that Lloyd and his friends weren't thieves as they were labeled . He (Lloyd) was higher than them, so that they killed him and defamed him to justify their actions.

Tribute to Pete Eneh

I was in deep shock when I got the news of Pete’s sudden death, my heart pricked as my veins tightened. Death is inevitable but sometimes life can be prolonged. Pete was admitted for over 3-months, but after amputation was performed on him, he gave up the ghost. Social pundits have blamed his demise on the negligence of our medical practitioners; Since I don't have any credible sources of what happened next after the amputation, I'm not going to go off quickly vent my rant on the nurses and doctors, rather I'm going to keep my calm and wait for an autopsy report. (I really hope there's one)

Tribute To Pete Eneh
If you're asking yourself "who the hell is Pete Eneh," you'd better step back and re-evaluate your life right now. Pete is a man's man, the kind of man you read about in the bible. A man who came from a time when beating your wife was not only socially acceptable, but encouraged (not that I'm saying spousal abuse is right, I'm just saying that sometimes she deserves it). Pete was right there when Nollywood was no where near the definition of a movie industry but a haven for production of films far less than those best described as utter garbage.

Despite the critics and failure of the industry to grow, Pete did his thing, his charisma was top notched, his fatherly role was definite and posed a wizardry deposition. A rare gem is gone and Nollywood has suffered another catastrophic blow.

RIP Pete, surely you would be missed.

Maybe It's Fair And Logical To Say The Amalgam of 1914 Was Built On Falsehood

Every new day that emerges constantly leaves Nigeria more terrified than ever. With the unfolding events in the last fifty years, Nigeria's destiny is imminent. Imminent because the foundation of Nigeria was built on British parochial interest.

Maybe It's Fair And Logical To Say The Amalgam of 1914 Was Built On Falsehood
The foundation of a thing determines how far it can stand the test of time. Nigeria has failed to stand as a true nation because nothing built on falsehood ever stands, hence the collapse of the so called giant of Africa. It will continue to be in futility, forcing over 400 ethnics group with different ideologies to exist as a single entity against their own tendencies.

Perhaps, the British knew very well that this was an impossible mission, but because they wanted to propose a new theory, probably to add to the lists of British achievements in terms of theories and hypothesis, they decided to forge ahead with the Nigeria experiment, using Lord Lugard as an arrow head.

The outcome of the experiment led to the falsehood amalgam of 1914 which further resulted in Nigeria becoming sterile in all ramifications-nothing works! Alas! Fifty years is enough for sterile mind to regain consciousness, otherwise such mind, such nation will never recover.

The reason is not far fetched, as a fool at forty will forever be a fool. Fifty years down the road, the Lord Lugard "ragbag" has remained a shadow of itself. The only way out of this logjam is to revisit the falsehood amalgam of 1914.

While I was wondering if it was necessary for Gen. Buhari to still tussle for the Presidential seat, I was seen as a betrayal of one Nigeria, but logically and realistically if eventually his wishes are meant, it would be insanity to expect different result when there is repetition of the same process, same old and discredited political philosophies that has made many critics believe Nigeria as a nations draws the entire world backwards.

Exposing MTN’s Corporate Ultimate Wonder Promo Scam

Barely few days after the NCC placed a ban on promos by telecom networks, MTN Nigeria was quick to announce the winner of their Ultimate Wonder Promo which saw one miss Ebube Essien-Garricks emerging as the winner of the promo as reported by Punch.

Exposing MTN’s Corporate Ultimate Wonder Promo Scam
Facebook says Ebube doesn't exist, but she's got a fanPage to celebrate her victory.
To fulfill all righteousness and kill-off my suspicion of fraud, I did a random search of Ebube Essien-Garricks on Facebook; the world largest social media with over 1billion users. To my greatest shock, Ebube was no where to be found. At her age as MTN claims, 27 and a student of Uniport, I can argue till eternity that she must be on Facebook. Unfortunately, MTN Nigeria has become victims of their own fraud and manipulation as they forgot to create a profile for her.

Maybe they thought of it, but were convinced that Nigerians will eat whatever they say as they have been doing for over 10-years. Although, the other argument is that, it would have been more obvious, had MTN created a profile for Ebube as her timeline would indicate it was created only a few days ago.

Eitherway, I do not see how any business organization would give out N64 million for fun when it still has areas of lack. I am highly disappointed at the NCC. A proper investigation committee should be immediately set-up to verify the data of the said girl. Her institution where MTN claims she studies should also be thoroughly investigated. Her place of birth, schools attended and where Ebube performs her religion rights must also be investigated.

Irresponsible NCC and the Corporate Scam of Nigeria Mobile Networks

I was in total shock and disbelief when I saw the MTN “Ultimate Wonder Promo” promising a grand prize of an airplane or its equivalent in cash plus N200 million other cash prizes for people who recharge a specified amount regularly.

I could not imagine how things have gone from bad to worse in Nigeria, trash are being allowed to be dumped in Nigeria while the customs officers act blind, politicians are looting the treasury in the Billions, Lecturers now drive in Nissan Armanda, Hummer and Ferarri. Now our telecom corporations who naturally make billions daily have jumped into the huge corruption market in Nigeria, where subscribers are deceived to pay for a promo that is obviously a Scam. Ripping innocent Nigerians of their hard-earned money in broad-day light. What use is the Nigeria Telecommunication Commissions and other regulatory bodies if they cannot control irresponsible acts like this?

The NCC is like a toot-less dog and government must re-channel tax-payers money used in servicing an agency that is completely redundant, sitting silently and watching telecom companies turn from their legitimate business of providing telecommunication services to providing scam lottery while the network continues to lag and suffer at best. I actually thought the Etisalat $1 million promo was the height, but MTN Nigeria has proved me wrong. This not only shows our weakness as a nation and the carelessness of our government, but an affront to our collective intelligence. I want to quickly advice the NCC to investigate MTN promotions in other countries, especially South Africa if such a thing exists. If a country like Benin Republic can expel MTN for poor services, it is hard to believe why Nigeria can’t checkmate telecommunication fraud.

If the NCC is irresponsible, I can argue it to some extent that the NBC is far better that the NCC and could also act just the way they got rid of religious scams in the name of miracles and checkmating politician’s advertisement campaign during elections. NBC can force all TV media outfits to stop showing Telecommunication scam promotions until they have been verified by the NCC. If the NCC can’t verify and authenticate the promotions of the telecommunication, then obviously and sadly, they should be scrapped in the interest of national integrity.

I can’t question the gullibility of Nigerians; I can’t imagine why Nigerians can fall for these cheap lies and deceit of these evil corporations. If this were to be a country where the citizens are very pro-active, MTN should have been sued a long time ago, and I believe our highly revamped and respected judiciary will give then the fist.  MTN Nigeria doesn’t even deserve a place in Nigeria.

Dear General Buhari, It is Not by Force to Rule Nigeria

While we were growing up, our teachers told us we should focus on our education because we are the leaders of tomorrow, at that time Buhari and IBB ruled this country with military domination and demanded unconditional obedience to their dictatorial leadership. Today, legion-years after, Buhari still sees the presidential seat as his birth-right, and I was wondering, it is either our teachers lied to us or tomorrow has not yet come.

I mean this is hilarious, the General still eyes 2015 Presidential election, what makes Buhari think he is the man that can lead a nation of over 150 million people to the promise land when he could not do it at the time Nigeria was far less in population and when Nigeria was not on the path to disintegration and total destruction? His government and the nation was in the face of the austerity measures, worsening economic conditions, and continued widespread corruption, Buhari was clueless on how to turn the tides, whey does he now think that the dis-credited philosophy that failed in his era would automatically become a magic in this time of our nascent democracy.. It is a know fact that it was Tunde Idiagbon  who ran the affairs of this nation while Buhari took the credit.

I don't believe many people would support a man who truncated democratic governance; a system they presumed was incapable of governing a nation with so much diversity in ethnicity and tribalism. Buahri single handedly dashed the hopes of a democratic Nigeria to doom. Is it not cowardly to fight for a presidential seat under a democratic system when you fought against the actualization of that same system of government in Nigeria? And this for me is the sole reason why Bhuari cried on National TV. Perhaps, he realized that he made an unforgivable mistake and the law of karma has taken it course. You can never eat your cake and have it.

Buhari had the opportunity to change the dynamics of this nation, to organize a credible election and handover power to a civilian duly elected by the ballot. But he went to sleep while Idiagbon was away on international duty and there was the bang! Gen. Babangida spare-headed a coup that ended his government giving birth to a retrogressive rulership of the Nigeria nation where corruption was the order of the day.

Will Mali's Prime Minister Resign?

West African heads of state have restated their determination that no member of Mali’s transitional government will be allowed to stand in the country’s next presidential election. Their statement has fed a growing debate over who should be allowed to run.

Mali is expected to hold presidential elections in 2013, following the recapturing of the north of the country, which is currently occupied by armed Islamist groups. To regain control of the north, the Economic Community of West African States, whose leaders met most recently on Nov. 11 in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, have made an initial commitment to deploy a 3,000-strong military force to Mali for a year.

The decision to make members of the interim government of Mali ineligible to contest next year’s election was reached during a meeting of the ECOWAS contact group on Mali, held on Jul. 7 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, and forwarded to a process of national consultations in Mali for confirmation.  Earlier discussions by Malian political forces had already arrived at the same decision in April.

But during a cabinet meeting on Oct. 31, Mali’s interim prime minister, Cheick Modibo Diarra, announced his intention to run for president, and blocked the release of a communique forbidding members of the transitional administration from presenting themselves as candidates. Questioned about this on national television on Nov. 10, he did not deny his intention to contest the election, saying only that it was too early to talk about it.

Malians are divided on whether the prime minister, the interim president, and other members of the transitional administration should be eligible. News of Diarra’s intention to run for president is a hot topic in the streets of Bamako, with a debate raging in the local press over whether he would need to resign his current post if he wants to stand.

“The prime minister is a citizen like all the others, so he has the right to present himself in the next elections,” Cheick Koné, an English teacher in a Bamako school, told IPS.

Many ordinary Malians feel those who don’t want the prime minister to stand are being unfair. “It’s not normal, because the prime minister is fighting hard against corruption,” Koné added. “And that’s why he must run for president.”

Oumou Berthé, a member of the National Civil Society Forum, believes that ECOWAS’s statement will help to clarify matters. “The fact that the heads of state of ECOWAS are repeating that members of the transitional government should not contest the next elections has relaunched the debate at the international level. And I think that the prime minister will have to take into account the concerns of the international community,” she told IPS.

The Malian prime minister is in charge of organising national consultations among the country’s political actors to resolve this question. But he is suspected by some political figures of manoeuvring with an eye to authorising his candidacy at the end of these meetings.

“The prime minister has realised that he loves power,” said Boubacar Diarra, an activist with the United Front to Safeguard Democracy and the Republic. “He wants to run for president, while those who supported him – like the members of the former junta – are not supportive of his candidacy.”

The United Front is a political coalition that opposed the Mar. 22 coup d’état which toppled the government of President Amadou Toumani Touré, and which has declined to participate in the consultations organised by the interim prime minister.

Dissatisfaction – both within the army and in the wider population – with the Touré government’s response to a January uprising in the north of the country was a key factor leading up to the coup, but an expanding cast of factions then took advantage of the instability and seized the northern part of the country.

Modibo Diarra, a 60-year-old astrophysicist who planned to run in presidential elections originally scheduled for April 2012, was appointed interim prime minister on Apr. 6 in a deal brokered between the coup plotters and ECOWAS.

The prime minister’s desire to stand for election appears to have created a crisis at the heart of the interim government. At the start of November, the minister for territorial administration, Moussa Sinko Coulibaly, who is in charge of organising the elections and is reputedly close to the former junta, told representatives of political parties he opposed Diarra’s candidacy.

“One can’t be part of this transitional government and have political ambitions. That won’t work, because in accepting that members of the transitional government can be in the race, we run the risk of distorting the game,” he said.

Responding to questions about the legitimacy of ruling that members of the transitional administration are ineligible, Mahamadou Sangaré, a political scientist at the University of Bamako, recalled the situation in 1992.

“There is a legal precedent from the transition organised by Amadou Toumani Touré in 1992, after the fall of the government of General Moussa Traoré. The president of that transition and his prime minister, Soumana Sacko, were not candidates in any election at the time,” he said.

“At the end of the day,” Sangaré continued, “the prime minister is in a difficult position, because he has convinced the United Front to participate in consultations on the one hand, while on the other, he has to achieve cohesion in the heart of the government on the question of ineligibility of members of the transition.”

It is due to this previous conviction that Youssef has been jailed again, as a number of his dealings and choices in relation to 'Innocence of Muslims' mean that he has broken his probation. Firstly, Youssef had been using multiple names including Sam Bacile and Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, which is the name under which the film's trailers were posted on YouTube originally. This is a serious problem regarding his probation, because as Assistant U.S. Atty. Robert Dugdale says, "This is not a defendant that you want out there using multiple names." LA Times reports Youssef's three identities were found in three places: one on his passport, a different one on his driving licence and a third in connection with the film. For a convicted fraudster, it's all very suspicious.

Despite the enormous waves of violence that have erupted in response to the film, none of this has been addressed in regard to the legal proceedings for Mr Yousseff. Although his jail time will come as a small token of justice, for the families and friends of those who have lost their lives in the violence that ensued in relation to the film, this will simply not be enough.

Homosexuals Want to Sleep with Me – Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu

Nollywood movie sensation and movie magnet John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu has hit out on Nollywood; Nigeria’s movie industry lamenting the despicable happenings in the industry. Ibu claims that Homosexuality has eaten up the industry before confirming in an interview with E-Express that a lot of the young actors have been used by producers and directors alike before getting a role.  .

He said: “One idiot came toasting me o! That is true, as funny as it would sound. Something is happening in this Nollywood. These upcoming actors are being used by some of the established producers who are gays. If you want to get a job as an up and coming actor, you must sleep with them. You must be sexed to get a job. We are no longer in the era of the female actresses suffering from sexual harassment; it is now man to man. Abomination! God has a lot of things to judge. Man to woman is also bad, but we can easily overlook that. Why not put your penis in the right place. There is something spiritual in that thing (frowns). Why would you bend down for one idiot to penetrate you, thereby destroying your future? You left God and bowed to devil…by the time you get up, you get up as a woman, while the idiot that penetrated you walks away majestically! Their payback is sudden death, and it keeps happening.

This is not the first time the actor would talk about his experience with gays in the make-believe industry.

Nationally, the popularity of this act has reached record high as people now openly display their sexual orientation despite a bill passed by the Senate which proposes a 14-year jail term to perpetrators of the act.

Police Striped Okada Man Naked For Contravening Lagos Traffic Law

The last time I criticized Governor Oshiomhole of Edo State for his out-of-the-line leadership of the State, I was almost eaten up. Perhaps, it has become a norm amongst ACN leaders to rule in a dictatorial manner. Now, a motor-cycle rider was given ALUU treatment in Lagos state for allegedly violating the new Lagos State traffic law inspired by Goveror Fashola.

An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, said the victim was caught while riding at the junction of University Road and St. Finbarr’s College Road in Akoka.

He stated that the man was plying the route oblivious that plain-clothes policemen had laid ambush in a van with registration number NPF9544B, in the area.

The eyewitness said immediately the policemen saw the Okada rider, they pounced on him, beat him up and later stripped him naked.

They continued the attack, as the Okada man was struggling to cover his nakedness. He should have been killed by the law enforcement officers, but the intervention of Nigerians around, who were videoing and taking pictures of the Naked Okada man, ensured that the officer stopped their attack.

We are appealing to the Lagos state Commissioner of Police and the State Governor to ensure that these rogue officers are arrested and prosecuted.

Even in Lagos, the so-called hub of Nigeria commercialization with high relation to civilization has yet again displayed barbarism in enforcing law. This is a wake-up call to the Nigeria government; it is high time we start seeing true persecution of officers who bastardized the law. Dismissing the Officer of the ALUU MASSACRE isn’t enough, government must brace-up and face this issue squarely otherwise jungle justice might automatically become a potent problem.
