When I first reported the news of the barbaric killing of Uniport students, I screamed jungle justice and was left perplexed at the irrationality
of some Nigerians.

The Following day, I was vindicated with the PM which I
received, authenticated and published here also. My emotions caved in and I wished
the Nigeria Police stepped-up their investigation into the ugly incidence.
Today, I couldn’t be much happier when I read in the dailies that 13 peoplehave been arrested in the connection with an act capable of causing a national topsy-turvyness
in other part of the world.
“Rivers State Police Command unequivocally commends the
gruesome killing of four UniPort students on October 5, by irate mob from Aluu
community. The command sympathizes with the families of the slain students and
also appeals to them not to take laws into their hands. Students of the
university are urged not to engage in any reprisal attract as such could lead
to chaos and anarchy.”
“The command has commenced investigation into the incident.
Amazing success has been recorded in that regard as 13 persons, including the
chief of the community suspected to have been involved in the repressible,
barbaric act, have been killings. Suspects are being interrogated by crack
police team.” Mr. Ben Ugwugbulam, Rivers State Police PRO said.
More details as it unfolds.
True Justice can only be acheived when the pepetrators of this tragedy are prosecuted. This must not be another police unending investigation and later swept under the carpet.
ReplyDeleteNigerians must rise up in one voice to demand true justice.
